Who manages the HUB?

An online software & hosting company, Cloud 9 Hosting is majority owner. It is managed by Matt Dubois and a dedicated team. Cloud 9 Hosting has spent hundreds of hours listening to the concerns of agents, producers and talent to create and develop the most technologically advanced Voiceover casting site available.

Is the Data Secure?

Yes, very secure. Cloud 9 Hosting is known for hosting sensitive data for companies in the financial services, healthcare and aerospace sectors as well government clients. Your data will be held to the same security standards.

Producers

Do I have to sign up for a membership in order to post a project?

Yes, you need to register and then, create your profile. You are not assessed a signup or monthly fee to be registered. At The HUB, we truly believe in taking the hassle out of doing business.

What are the costs to post my projects?

It costs $175 to post a project. Simple.

How do I post an audition?

Our audition form is simple and efficient.
If you do need help – no worries. Give us a call and one of our helpful Customer Service Representatives will help you or take care of it for you.

How do I request an estimate?

Call one of our helpful Customer Service Representatives to request a custom quote based on your project’s usage.

How do I search talent demos?

You can search by name, agency or voice casting criteria and keywords. We took the hassle out of finding the perfect voice for your project.

How do I contact the talent agency to check talent availability?

When you need to determine a talent’s schedule, all you do is click on the AVAILS button on your project’s SUBMISSION page. That’s it. Done. One click automatically sends a notification to the agent to contact you about availability.

How do I book a talent?

Similar process. Select the BOOK icon. One click automatically sends a confirmation notification to the agent who will contact you.

Client and Project Title. Ex: Nike “Just Do It”
Union: This applies when the talent buyer wants to use talent who are professional members of SAG AFTRA in the U.S. or ACTRA in Canada, or EQUITY in the United Kingdom.
Non-Union: This applies when the talent are not members of these unions.
Planned Budget: What rate are you offering for the talent? You can use the suggested rate guide at http://voratecard.com/ or SAG-AFTRA rates on their site in the Production Center at http://www.sagaftra.org/production-center. If you still need help, call us for assistance with a custom quote.

Agency Fee: What percentage will you pay the agents you’ve invited? Non-union agency fees are typically 20% and union fees are 10%.
Conflicts/Exclusivity: Are you claiming exclusivity for a product category? Typically no exclusivity applies to non-broadcast, radio or web usage without additional payments to cover the exclusivity.
Studio: For out of town talent, will you pay for a studio in their home city?
Studio requirements: For out of town talent, what kind of connectivity do you need?
ISDN: Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) uses traditional telephone lines to allow two-way, high fidelity, real time communication and recording from a home studio to high-end studios, stations and networks elsewhere, all over the world. Both parties must have access to ISDN for it to work.
Source Connect: Similar to ISDN, but uses internet software and telecommunication technology you may already be subscribing to, such as DSL, cable or T-1. But your transmission speed must be at least 300kpbs, both up and down. It is available through Source Elements. http://source-elements.com/products/source-connect
Source Connect Now: This is the free version of Source Connect, also available through Source Elements.
ipDTL: This uses the Chrome browser for two-way digital connection. Available at https://ipdtl.com/
Phone Patch: A Phone Patch is an electronic box that allows a direct connection to a mixer or digital audio interface to standard telephone lines. The mic signal is routed to the telephone as if the talent are speaking into a telephone receiver. The talent is recorded at their studio and audio files are delivered after the session.
Skype: Skype is a software program that uses the internet to make telephone calls, and may include both audio and video. The talent is recorded at their studio and audio files are delivered after the session.
Local: For One Market/ADI only
Regional: For more than one market in a contiguous geographical area, such as within one state or in 2-4 connected states.
National: For all or several markets across the United States.
North America: Includes both the United States and Canada.
International: For countries other than the United States. Please specify.

Okaaay… how long is it “free”? What’s the catch?

No catch. It’s free from signup to signoff. There are no extra fees. The HUB is NOT a “pay to play” site.

How do I create my profile?

Simple. We have the easiest, most convenient sign up process in the voice casting industry. After that, we send you your own private login and you can create your profile and upload your demos instantly.

How do I update my profile? And what is meant by Profile Administrator?

Your agent will update your profile. Talent who have more than one agent will designate a specific agent to update their profile. You can still work with all your other agents on this site, but your profile administrator will input any changes.

How do I upload an audition?

First, record it. Then… Follow the link in the audition invitation email. Just DRAG AND DROP your mp3, which will be automatically renamed with your info upon upload.

How do I upload a corrected audition?

Simply upload your new file. The agent who sent you the audition will take care of it for you while you kick back and enjoy a delicious coffee beverage.

How can clients find me on the site?

Clients can search for you by name, agency, or by designated search criteria and keywords included in your profile. Easy as pie.

What if I don't have representation from a member talent agency?

The HUB is where unsigned talent can he heard by some of the most respected agents in the world. Get discovered! However, in order to receive auditions and book projects, talent must have representation. So don’t wait — join the best online casting portal right now!
